New Beginnings Full Gospel Church began January 27, 2012 in the old Home Economics building on the old school campus in Knobel, Arkansas. There was considerable damage that had been done to the building before we had moved in. In the winter of 2008, during a great ice storm, a 54" tree fell across the building. We have pictures of this in our picture archive. Much damage had been done. We looked at the building on a Thursday, and on the following Sunday we held our first service. We had a table for our pulpit and 30 folding chairs. We used pie pans for our offering plates. Our landlord let us use the building for the first year rent free. Within the next 4 months, we had a pulpit, piano, pews, communion set, and decorations all donated. We worked hard on making repairs to the building with what funding we had. But even then, God was blessing us by having different ones making donations to be used in repairing the building. We had no parking lot and had to park in the grass or on the side of the road. Through a donation, a driveway tile was put in place and gravel brought in to make a parking lot. God moved in our little church in a mighty way and still is. In December of 2012, a large donation was made and we were able to buy our church building along with 6 city lots. In February 2013, another donation was given and we were able to have our heat/air unit replaced. God has truly blessed. With all thats happened here, there is something else even better than all this. We have had several give their lives to the Lord. Music is good and programs are good, but if people are not coming to Christ, all the other is dead. Adding to the Kingdom of God should be the first and foremost on the hearts of all ministries.
